I wanted to take a moment to recognize and direct you to the wonderful Aquarium Drunkard feature Off The Record. AD, out of Los Angeles, is one of my favorite blogs to read out on the intraweb, and the founder/editor Justin is a particularly nice guy. If you’re into the blues, the classics, roots, rock, and many other great genres, then you’ll fancy their superb writing.
Occasionally they’ll round up a band and ask them to give a rundown of all their favorite things in their particular city of residence. What comes about is really neat insight into the best bookstores, record shops, eateries, and coffeeshops from around the world. For all you regional cats, they’ve given great reviews of Houston, Little Rock, and New Orleans.
